Released from rehab to attend her sister’s wedding, drug-abusing tearaway Kym (Anne Hathaway) returns to the family home where the ceremony is to take place. As bride-to-be Rachel makes the final preparations for her elaborate yet intimate marriage to musician Sidney, the acerbic Kym’s behaviour causes tension in the house. As the dad intercedes on his wayward daughter’s behalf, years of bitterness and resentment come the surface.
